STRESS AND RESCUE CERTIFICATION

   

Stress is a major contributor to rescue situations and diving accidents. You can improve your diving confidence and enjoyment by learning to recognize situations that lead to problems, and to handle problem situations with special techniques.

 

Learn the basics of:

  • the causes and prevention of stress
  • detecting and dealing with diving-related stress in yourself and your buddy
  • accident management procedures
  • rescue skills that assist the victim, while protecting yourself
  • simple, yet effective search patterns
  • dealing with situations that complicate rescues

 

The course is necessary for completion of the Master Diver program and is a pre-requisite for dive leader courses including instructor. The fee of $235 includes classroom and pool instruction, the text book, and a plastic dive accident management flow chart.  Personal equipment, diving fees, rental, and travel are extra.
