Dive
a Week in the Bahamas aboard the Aqua Cat
The boat is docked in Nassau, so we’ll fly there on Saturday morning, they’ll pick us up and take us to the boat, we’ll stow our gear, and then fool around in Nassau till we board at 6pm that evening. From there, the big diesel powered catamaran will cruise to the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, a part of the Bahamas that is generally out of reach for extended diving except on a self-contained, large dive vessel.
In the 1980’s and 1990’s, Planet Ocean chartered another live aboard dive boat, the MV Sea Fever, for several trips to this area, and we discovered that it offers some truly amazing and pristine dive sites. With normally extremely clear water and an abundance of marine life, including rays, sharks, and turtles, this is an unforgettable dive destination. And if you’ve never done a live aboard dive vessel, some argue that it doesn’t get any better.
The Aqua Cat makes it possible for you to enjoy four to five dives a day from an exceptionally comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped dive platform built just for scuba excursions.
The cabins are really nice with private bath. There is plenty of very tasty food…and a bar with adult beverages.
This is going to be a good one…
